The College of Wooster Concert Band

In the fall of 2024, I chose, rehearsed, and conducted a piece for The College of Wooster Concert Band, a non-auditioned ensemble made up of students, college staff, and local community members. Once a week, I led a rehearsal on my piece, and discussed my rehearsal strategies with the director.

Wooster High School

Symphonic and 8th Grade Bands

In the spring of 2024, I had a small field placement at Wooster High School. I visited once a week for a couple hours, observing their 8th grade band and high school symphonic band. I spent time taking notes on rehearsal and classroom management strategies, working with individual students or small group sectionals, and led a warmup from the podium for each ensemble.
